A new Sprint/Nextel cell site in Virginia City was confirmed last weekend. The antennas are disguised in a gray monopole/flag pole on the south end of the city near Gold Hill.

I just noticed a recently installed Sprint cell site above McCarran & Skyline in west Reno. This cell site fills a previous dead zone along the busy McCarran Blvd. corridor between Cashill Blvd. and Manzanita Lane.

Verizon has recently tuned on a new cell site in Incline Village on Wilson Way – off Golfers Pass Road and Hwy 431. The monopine is located next to the Mountain Golf Course Club House.

It was recently confirmed that Edge Wireless, an AT&T affiliate, has co-located a cell-site near the intersection of Hwy 395 and Highway 70 north of Reno. This intersection is also referred to as Hallelujah Junction. Earlier this year antennas were co-located on an existing monopole that provides Verizon coverage in the area. This new Edge Wireless cell site provides AT&T customers roaming coverage in a previous dead zone around the area.

The new T-Mobile cell site on Sunshine Lane near East 2nd Street in Reno is now active. This site will enhance coverage inside Renown Medical Center, Grand Sierra Resort and freeway coverage around the I-80/Hwy 395 “Spaghetti Bowl”. CID 4336x.

The new T-Mobile cell site in Sparks as mentioned on April 27 is now active. The white monopole / flagpole is located on the west side of the shopping center that includes the Raley’s supermarket at the southwest corner of McCarran and Pyramid. CID 4335x.

A new T-Mobile cell site is now active near Stead Blvd. and Lear Blvd. in Stead – co-located on an existing monopole with Cricket and Clearwire. CID 4344x

A new Cricket flagpole cell site is now active behind WinCo Foods on Northtowne Lane in Reno. This site will improve coverage in that area and along the Hwy 395 corridor between N. McCarran and Parr Blvd.
